Default Coilovers for a daily driver?

I know I want coilovers for my DD just, especially for the ride height adjustment. What would be my best choice for a decent ride?

The Tein Basics are around $750 or should I throw an extra $200 or so and go for the H&R's? I won't be autoXing or anything. Just spirited daily driving. Thanks for any input.

well, from what i've read.. springs are the way to go for daily driving.. but i feel you on the height adjustment. i chose to stick with my tein s-techs up front, and put skunk2 coilovers in the rears to even it up with the fronts.. honestly, the ride is the same and i was having second thoughts about it =X

but i suggest you try out the basics first.

Go with H&R. You will not be dissappointed. See the install pics here...

I would maybe try Tanabe because I heard their ride comfort is so much better than the Tein Basics. I don't really like the ride comfort of my Tein Basics it's a little too rough.

Yeah Tein is a decent race spring for the money, but their spring rates are through the roof. For the money, Tanabe isn't a bad spring, Paul uses them on his IS300 project. He still prefers Progress, and I still prefer H&R. Gotta pay the price if you want the best of both worlds.

yes basics are rough as ____. i can feel every bump and crease on the road. its fun when you want to feel complete control on the road but it starts to hurt your ___ on the long trips. i always find myself looking for brand new pavement to drive myself on.
