Default Could this be a reason for clunking sound?

Hey guys

I have TRD Struts with TRD Lowering springs....roughly 20,000 miles (2 years of use) on them. Been driving on some fairly rough rides for these past 2 years. Recently, i have this horrible clunking sound everytime i go over a bump coming from the rear right wheel area. I pushed on the back of my trunk and sure enough there is a light clicking sound from the rear right!

I took a picture of my strut (sorry about camera phone) and saw that the rubber piece is torn pretty much in half. Could this be the problem?

I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow for them to take a look at it...

no thats jsut the dust cover, it wont cause any sounds.

i would double check all of the bolts to make sure they are tight. you would be surprised what vibrations can do over time.
