Default in desperate need of help pleaseeeee

So i somehow managed to break a wheel stud on my back right wheel and i have the replacement stud already but i can't manage to take the rotor off. I took off the caliper entirely and i also adjusted the e-brake so that it isn't causing friction, any ideas? A guy at pep boys told me to hit it with a hammer and i tried but to no avail... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

a hammer? no.. a nice soft rubber mallet would be nice.

glad you found the thread, thought it sounded familiar.

how did you manage to snap the wheel stud?

and you're going to have to get a torque wrench so that doesn't happen again. stay away from sears craftsman, those ones (the $80) quality has suffered lately, they used to be good. I know that home depot has a nice one that goes from 20-250ft-lbs for about $80, good quality.

you can also do it the easy way and use some small bolts to pop off the rotor, there should be 2 threaded holes on the rotors. i forget the size, sorry if im only sorta helpful.
