Different springs on rear than front?
is it ok to run 2 different sets of springs on rear than front? my front is way to low with the s-techs i start rubbing.. the back is fine but im wondering if i can throw h-techs in the front and keep stechs in the back?
ya cuz my whole front side wheel fender like got shredded after putting the turbo in.. it got so low i was on the highway and i heard it and i looked and my plastic wheel well parts were like destroyed sooo bad.
but what difference is it gonna make if your rear is a tad softer than your front or vise versa. sure it might not handle as good but for people that just do it for looks, who cares? ive seen it done on quite a few cars who were lookin for that perfect wheel gap on all 4 corners.
in fact, my buddy with a wrx (at one time) had aftermarket struts and springs on the front and an all stock rear. he said it improved the handling way over stock.
dont worry, he did the rears a little while later.

You can run whatever springs you want at any corner. Or course, just doing it all ***** nilly will likely harm suspension performance more than help it. The spring rates for most dropsprings are readily available, i would just recommend keeping the new spring within about 25% of the rate of the spring you're replacing.
But the idea that it's unsafe... is just silly.
