Default eibach sportlines

Hello everyone got my car lowered with eibach sportlines 2.0 inch front and back, with an alignment. I am new to lowering a vehicle but after reading everything about what is involved decided to do it. My question is what are your personal opinions on how long or not so long the suspension parts will last, shocks, struts, etc. Should I be worried? I also looked throughout the suspension forums and read countless opinions but just wanted to "refresh" this topic. Thanks for your comments.

did you get new shocks with it? or just springs? It really depends on how you drive. if u go crazy with ur suspension then it wont last as long.

I had Eibach sportlines on my old Honda, and really didn't like the ride quality of the spring. They get all coiled up, with very-very little spring still left in them, which affects the strut/shock life - and makes them work harder/ more stress.

All for an extra .25 to 1/2" further drop, personally IMO its not worth it.
Thats why this time I went Eibach Pros. Tein can make some good stuff, there are a bunch of Tanabe lovers here... which could be good , and not much bad to say about the TRD springs- other then its just a 1" drop(not sure if thats enough for you/most people).
I suspect if you want to go 1.8" or more drop(which a camber kit is then needed) , optimally its best to go with Coil-overs = but then your looking at about $800 minimum , on up$

WITH THE SPORTLINES, YOU WILL WANT NEW SHOCKS. STOCK ONES WILL LAST YOU MAYBE 10K BEFORE THEY START TO GIVE.

YOU WILL NEED A CAMBER KIT, IT MAY NOT LOOK LIKE MUCH, BUT I HAVE HAD THREE CARS ON SPORTLINES, THE FIRST AFTER DRIVING 10K WITHOUT A CAMBER KIT, I NEEDED NEW WHEELS.

I WENT WITH THE KONI YELLOWS WITH MY SPORTLINES, AS I DID EVERYTHING AT ONE TIME, I ALSO DID HOTCHKIS SWAY BARS AND THE HOTCHKIS REAR ALIGNMENT BAR AND EIBACH FRONT ALIGNMENT KIT, AN DC FRONT STRUT TOWER.

SORRY FOR CAPS, AT WORK.. LOL

Right.
I always thought Sportllines were 2" on the front... maybe 1.8" on the rear. Thus, to do it right , and make sure your tires do not wear funny, get a FRONT camber kit = more money your throwing at the fire.

I remember when I had my sportlines on my honda, the tires after about 7-8K miles were reallly starting to wear funny/ bad, which to make a long story short was one of the weak links in puting that car 6 feet under/dead.

A Camber kit will fix the camer on a wheel. When you lower the car, you get a negitive camber, good for a race car bad for a daily driver, because the inside of the wheel will ware faster then the outside. You get a camber kit, you can adjust postivie or negitive. Sence my 2" springs gave me a negative camber, i needed to adjust to make it even.

I totally concur on gettting the camber kit if you go Sportlines ... anything right at 2" or more. Its just a needed / extra part, more money invested into your whole suspention set up is all.

I have the eibach sportlines and I don't have a camber kit in the rear. They got it back within specs pretty well. I haven't really seen any major tire wear issues so I don't think it's necessary unless it gives you the piece of mind then get it but usually you don't need it unless you are slammed.
