Default Emergency Brake Comes on While Accelerating

So every time I accelerate or drive up a steep incline my emergency brake light comes on. Not really a problem more of just an annoyance. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to fix.

Check brake pads and fluid. Brake pads are worn down or fluid is low. So when you accelerate or go up something steep it's flowing back further. Happens to me everytime it's getting ready for new brake pads.

Isn't emergency brake separate from our normal brakes

Pads.... fluid is low because pads worn out. If u refill than later if you change the pads you will have fluid gushing out in the engine bay. Not good

nah, brakes are brakes. you adjust your hand/e-brake through the rear brakes when you change pads.

They are separate aren't they? E-brake is controlled by a cable, while front and rear brakes rely on fluid. Also, the E-brake is not adjusted with the rear brake pads. Brake shoes are housed within the hat of the rear rotor for the tc1.

Correct.

Even though the E-brake and the regular braking systems are separate mechanically, the "BRAKE" light should also come on when the fluid in the reservoir is low. Usually the fluid level goes down when the pads wear down, but it could be something else also. On the tC I've seen the light come on temporarily when starting to accelerate from a stop; In this case, the pads were low.

Ditto on what he says. But if you messed up, like I did, and added brake fluid before brake change, just siphon some brake fluid out. I used a turkey baster to do that

Mine did this last week when I would take off hard. The fluid didn't look low but I topped it off and if hasn't came back on.

your not suppose to top of brake fluid, your brake pads wear down so it replace the space in the brake caliper with brake fluid from the reservoir, so your reservoir looks like it is going down. So check the brake pad thickness. probably means either the front or rear (possibly both) pads need replacing soon. Adding Brake fluid because the the E brake light turns on during hard acceleration will stop the light from coming on, but then you will forget that you added fluid and then your non existent brake pads will grind metal on metal.
