Default Few questions about lowering and S-Techs.

Instead of selling my springs i deiced to get them installed. So i took them to my local dealership, they said they wont mess with the suspension. So i really dont know where to take these lol. What type of shop should i look for that can lower my ride? How much does it usually cost?

And I'm planing to lower these on my stock struts. Since i only have about 6000 miles on them, i probably don't need new ones right away. good idea or should i save up?

How low would it get with these S- techs?(2.0/2.4 i think?) My TC is a RS3, so is it too low? Rims are stock as well.

Would i rub if i have more people in my car? I usually have about 2-3 people riding with me on the way to school.

I know, i should have done more research before buying but i got these springs for a nice price. :X

Your dealership wouldn't install them?! Dude... go to another dealer. I don't know if that one is just incompetent or retarded.

That said, if you hit up your regional forum here on SL, you might be able to find a new friend or two who would be happy to help you install them yourself. They're slightly difficult, but far from impossible to do on your own. But if you find a friend or two that have done them before, it will really help.

I mention all of this b/c dealers will be expensive for this install. Probably $300+ in my guesstimation. You might also be able to find a local shop that would be cheaper - if you don't want to do it yourself. Any repair shop should be able to handle them.

Really any were that can change struts can do it for you. But like Allan said check your local forum. I doubt you will rub I usually have 1 or 2 people with me when I run around and I haven't experienced any rubbing.

Yeah S-Techs are cool. You will be fine, I sumtimes wish i bought s-techs instead of H-techs. ANyway if you find a mom n pop shop, they would only charge u an hours worth of labor. Over here its like 85 bucks. That is, if you dont have some homies that are willin to do it.

if you have a spring compressor then it takes like 2 hours to do it your self... all i had to do is cut the bumpstop in half and drop the new springs in... im betting you can rent a spring compressor from like auto zone... or an auto parts store... i would do it your self just make sure your doing the spring compression right or you can kill yourself... lol
