Front end knock after front struts replaced
I recently rebuilt my front strut assemblies with KYB brand shocks and mounts. I also replaced the front anti-sway bar end links.
Everything works fine, except for a single knock (when accelerating from a complete stop) and/or braking (when the brake pedal is pressed.) This knock sounds wooden, or almost like a spark knock. This single knock does not occur when turning or hitting bumps. It only occurs when accelerating from a complete stop and or pressing the brake pedal. The knock is not loud, so I only hear it in driveways or parking lots. Sometimes it sounds like the passenger side. Other times sound like the driver side.
All fasteners are torqued to spec.
Any suggestions?
