its hard to say but all shocks will go out eventually. Its too hard to say how long it will take. There are many factors that contribute to blowing out your shocks fast. Good way to test shocks is buy pushing one end of the car down to see how the shocks rebound & if it doesnt then you have blown shocks. This is from my experience working on suspensions.

I just got the H-techs and the car doesn't sit THAT much lower than stock. Enough to notice and look a helluva lot better, and the ride is a lot smoother, but it's not enough to blow the sturts out super fast. If you buy the Tein S-techs the car will be lower still, and you'll probably wear them out faster, but with both the S-tech or the H-tech being so much stiffer than stock, I don't know if the strut will actually go any faster than it would with stock springs.

I didn't want to blow $400 on some struts right now so I just lowered mine on stock struts. It seemed to be fine last night when I took it out to beat on it. I was pretty rough and didn't touch the bump stops once. I don't think you've got much to worry about.

Look at it this way... you put lowering sprins on your cutting the life of your struts no matter what... this is why people suggest getting new struts at the same time so you dont have to go back and put new ones in later and do the work all over again. Me I just got the tein ss-p coilovers direct replacement no hassle.

In my opinion, putting in springs was a _____ because of taking down everything. I'd get the shocks at the same time just do I don't have to redo it all over again.

But anyways, you should be able to last on your stock shocks for a 10-15k miles. Maybe even more depending on the drop

It actually depends on how many miles are already on the shocks....

i might want to buy your goldlines if so ill be selling my TRD's. i want a bigger drop with a stiffer ride. ive heard good and bad things about goldline springs, kinda hate changing from TRD to Goldline but TRD's just arent low enough or stiff enough!
Q's for ya..
Why are you changing? Did you like the springs?
are the goldlines 2" drop? and how much are you selling for?
also was it hard to find a place to realign after you put them on?

If you are strapped for cash, than the stock struts will hold up for now, or at least until you get some more dough for the upgraded ones. But the struts are not gonna blow out the next day or anything like that. You will be fine for a while.

^^^My recommendation.^^^

You will not blow your shocks right away. And as Cockpit_xB stated, there's a simple way to check. And by looking at your tires to see if there is any cupping.

But there are also other factors you have to look at, mileage driven, and the road conditions you drive everyday. If its smooth and free from potholes, then they'll last longer, but if you happen to drive on un-improved roads, and dirt roads alot, then they won't last as long.

Here is a special on the TRD Springs and Shocks. I don't think you'll find a better price.
