hey H&R coilover owners...

So the other day i was driving on the highway with my window open...and noticed that when i went over bumps my driver side suspension was squeaking with every bump....is this a problem or normal?

 

Do you have aftermarket sway bars?

 

Sounds like more of a swaybar/bushing problem than the coilovers.

 

probably need to re grease the bushings on your sway bars

 

i have H&R sway in back. Stock front. its a real miniscule squeak..only hearable when im in the left lane next to the the divider wall.

 

uh, maybe your hitting your fender linings on those bumps since you only hear it when you hit a bump you say..
and since its prob only you driving it would come from the drivers side

 

i have a 2 finger gap in the front, its def not hitting the fender liner because i got coilovers to avoid hitting the liners.

 

My Tein SSPs did the same thing for about a year but it was loud. It eventually stopped completely.
I greased all the metal to metal contact surfaces ... don't know if thats what eventually did it tho.

 

im running the samesetup (except with a TRD rear sway)and i havent had anyissues yet. ill keep listening thoughhaha

 

Grease the springs where they meet the perches. Spin the springs around once or twice to lube. Problem solved.

I keep my coilovers greased with white lithium grease all the time. Keeps them quiet and offers some protection.
