Default H-Tech install problem. Bottoming out??

I got my h-techs installed the other day, and i was pretty sure i got everything installed correctly. i've lowered multiple cars before. but when i go over certain bumps it sounds as though i'm bottoming out. i have no problems going over speed bumps, but it's little things like those tiny man-hole covers (about 5" diameter) that cause the sound. it sounds something like if the shock was only being held in with one bolt in the engine bay, and is just kinda rattleing. everything i've read says that the h-techs should not bottom out, so i'm wondering what went wrong. some people have said that the upper perches have to be set in a very particular way. but i'm thinking that I may have cut the bump stops too short.

the tein manual online shows four different "cut types," A, B, C, and D. I did cut type B. http://www.tein.com/tech_info/inst/stechu.pdf

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

your not suppose to cut the bump stops for h-techs, only for s-techs and that could be your problem that your having. also did you remember to install the bump stop because i forgot to do that once and it sounded like if the shock was blown when it went over the first speed bump, until i took it apart i noticed that i forgot to put the bump stop.

i did cut B. i hooked the sway bar back up. no problems with the back, just the front. is there anywhere that sells bump stops, than I can get a fresh set to see if that solves the problem?
