Default Hotchkis vs TRD

Sorry for the dumb question but a search pulls up about 50 of the same topics... the question i have, are hotchkis springs made by Toyota? If I put them on would it void my warranty? or are they the same as a TRD part (the same as in both made by Toyota)?

The reason it's even a question in my mind is sparkstrd.com sells both, and it's a toyota site...

hotchkis is not made by toyota. you won't void your warranty, it just won't cover that part or any directly related parts.

if the hotchikis springs is the cause of the damage or malfunction, the part that it damages won't be covered...just to clear that up a bit.

I believe the only Hotchkis=TRD part is the sway bar. I'm pretty sure the TRD sway is the same exact thing sway as the Hotchkis sway minus one setting.

actually.. hotchki's did not make the rear sway bar for TRD... if anything, the closest relation to TRD and hotchki's is the strut bar.

the sway bar has more relation to Progress's

as far as warrranty issues... please search.

Yep! And depending on your dealership, they may tell you the same thing about your warranty when using TRD springs. Its just people being uneducated about what they are talking about. But the brands that we carry are all big brands that have been around for a long time. Even some of the stuff TRD has made for them some of these reputable companies.

Whichever set you decide to get, order them from TRDSparks. I recently ordered Hotchkis springs from them. Awesome customer service.
