Tein SS+P Problems
Okay, so i have had my SS+P's for a couple months now, and have been playing around with them ever since.
Today i decided i wanted to slam my car all the way, just to see how it would look, and i am very dissapointed.
The rears, they are tucked, no finger gap.
However the fronts, there is still about a tight finger gap.. is that normal? Anyone with SS+P's. please show me a picture of how low your front is, or how much gap you have.. i will try to post pics tomorrow of my car on level ground so you can see how it looks, and tell me if its normal..
or do i have to wait for the springs to settle again?
thanks for any info

are they equally lowered? like 2 in front and 2 in back?
if so...keep in mind that out of the factory, the front sits higher than the rear...so you're gonna wanna lower it an extra half inch or so

tc909 are you on stock wheels or 17s? that pic is taken on 18s, i just put back my stock and now the gap is about 2 fingers. I checked my threads on the coilovers and there's still a good amount for me to slam it which i think is more than enough for 0 gap.
That gap in front if not viewed very close looks just about same as the 0 gap at the rear, and looks just right.. For daily driving you never would want a zero gap in front since you would be rubbing on the inner plastic lining and damage it, and possibly damage the fender if your tire sticks out a bit. But if you want 0 gap, you will have to lower more height in front than rear, i think the front has bigger fenders.

i am on 5zigens, 17x8 et:48 w/245's
nothing rubs, and i thought the front would be lower as well.. but the rear is
i am just going to have to raise the rear up a little bit. i will be taking pictures pretty soon, so you guys can see whats up.
edit: cant find my camera, sister must have taken it.. will post pics when i can, hopefully by tomorrow.

okay guys... everything is good now.
the car settled a little bit more, and i am happy with the front drop. the rears are still way too low, so i will prolly raise it either one or one and a half turns.
thanks for the help.. i will post pics still if i can find my damn camera

yeah post pics.. yeah i forgot about settling thing, you mentioned a couple of months, I think they settle longer that lower spring since they are stiffer. Before my floor jack works fine now I have to get a lower profile race jack so I could lift it..
i love how people compare by finger measurements. i have freakin sausage fingers so compared to most people i've seen driving scions i can guarantee that your 1.5 finger gap equals like .75 finger gap for me so why don't we all go buy a ruler for like 50 cents and do it right. also different size wheels and tires are going to make a difference as well as tread height.
^^ lol thats a massive finger you have then if thats the case. Just trying to help man, its just happened i was changing the tires when he posted and no way im gonna go drive to walmart to just buy a ruler so i can show it here in SL, for thing this small im not gonna do it lol surely somebody could do it, i hope someone will take that effort
