DC sports CS-2 for 100$ new.

After unloading the shocks (lifting the car and installing it properly), turns felt more precise and both tires felt like they were contacting the pavement rather than just one. Sway was still there, but not AS drastic. Less sunroof creak also from stiffer chassis. Getting the Ingalls 4 point next year to help that as well. Do Luck Floor bar installed also and helps a bit

single tube designs are weaker if you plan on doing any type of autocrossing. Cusco makes a decent single tube but DC Sports CS-2 is, IMO, the best of any that I've ever seen/used/been able to test out. Twin tube with center support welding makes it much sturdier on sharp turns and very durable.

Of course, this is just IMO.

Don't forget to jack the front end up and preload the struts. I didn't and never realized that it made a difference. Driving is definately changed if you do it right.

Do I have to remove all the nuts on the top of the struts or just the 2 nuts where I would mount the strut bar?

All 3 nuts on each side and leave only about 1/4 inch of them left poking through. This will allow the entire strut to depress. Put the bar on and begin to thread the bolts. Tighten them completely while the tires are in the air and then when you're done, lower it and go drive .

So I finished with the installation and drove it around town. All I can say is that there is a difference. I take corners more "solid" than before. Thanks for the tip web. It helped a lot.

Next would be the rear strut bar. Probably going with the Ingalls but I dont race or autoX my car so maybe just gonna go with the cheaper ones. Maybe Greddy. :D

NP.

I'm looking at the Ingalls as well. I wonder if anyone on here has it, does it help with noise reduction (creaking of the hatch)? I know it stiffens the chassis so I would think it would help with that, right?

Oh, Jehoo....let me know where you get the Greddy one and how much. I'll get a cheaper one if I can, especially if it does nothing for the creaking sounds.

I can't seem to find any good deals for the rear strut. I'll just bump this thread up when I found one. :D

Just overall creakiness from going down driveways at angles and what not. I have the front strut bar and it seemed to help a little with that, so I'm just wondering if it'll help getting the rear one as well.

I have the same problem with mine. Some said the problem is a loose strut tower nut. I don't know if putting a rear strut bar would help eliminating the creaking noise.
