Installed S.Techs Today- How long til alignment?
How long will it take for the springs to settle so I can get it properly aligned? Also what is the best place to get it aligned? Thanks for the help!!
just installed my h-techs 3 days ago and imma do mine probably in 2 weeks just to let it settle. i see a little camber (you have to look really closely to tell) but i dont feel the car pulling off to the left or right so i guess im ok.
you dont need that long to get an alignment done!!... honestly it will take a few days for it to settle. depending on your driving habbits and road. quick way to help them along is after instal and putting the car on load, hop in the back and jump in the trunk a few times to give the spring/shock travel and do the same in the front but you will need to jump from the driver and passenger side bottom door sils. i have stechs also and waited a good week/ week and a half before alignment and camber adjustment. you will need it to adjust some of the camber and toe in/out depending on your driving prefrences.
do not wait to long as you will wear out the inside of your tires over a long period of time.
as far as shops, try looking for one with laser/digital alignment. if not, ask around local forums or hang outs or friends with refrences to good alignment shops.
also make sure they show you the numbers before and after alignment. any good shop should be able to give you a print out of the current and after alignment so you see were you -/+ camber is.
