I'm on 19's & S-Techs right now (Too Low, Rubs) and I can't decide whether to do TRD Springs, Struts, and Swaybar......
Or spend a Lil Bit More Dough on Coilovers......
I'm not into AutoXing , I mainly want them for the height adjustability, and I want the smoothest ride possible.
Any help or input would be helpfull, Thanks......

 

If you want height adjustability, then you would need to get the coilovers. But honestly, how often would you REALLY be changing the height?

As for the smoothest ride, I'd suggest getting a set of coilovers with adjustable dampening so that you can get the ride comfort hopefully to your liking.

As for the rear sway bar... not entirely necessary if you're going for a smooth ride. It will make it handle better and would be a worthy upgrade... but doesn't sound like a requirement for your setup.

 

I would adjust the height for different wheels, I have the stock 17's, 19" Konigs, And I'm going to get a WIDE set of Tenzo R's with spacers..... So depending on the wheel, I could get away with a drop anywhere from 1" to 3" You might think I'm crazy but thats how I roll....

Go with coilovers man if you height adjustment is important to you, trd swaybar is good not too stiff to hurt your ride. Since you are lookin for comfort in ride take time choosing your coilover since most of the coilovers are designed more on performance than comfort, read some reviews there's a lot in here.

 

Well, I got TRD Springs and Sway coming this week from McGeorge's.....so maybe coilovers in a year or if i'm not happy with the TRD stuff, thanks anyways

 

you shoudl be fine on the TRDs, but I did not like the way they sat with teh front higher then the back, which is why I switched. You might have been better off with H.Techs.
You could have also gone with TRD shocks on ground controll coilovers, which are just high adjustable springs, basically, and only $400, but then agian I think the tien basics go for $600 or so, but no adjustable dampening there. Personally, I love the ajdustaple dampning in my konis, not cause I adjust them all the time, but so I could dial them in perfeclty for my hothksi springs and my style of driving.
But for your situation with the different rims, you should have gone withsome sort of adjustable coilovers. Oh well.

Have you considered getting your fenders rolled? This way there will be no rubbing and you want have to add any parts.

As for height adjustability obviously you need coilovers but won't it still rub if its lower than where it is right now?

He has 19s possibly he would still rub if he puts the coilovers lower than trd drop, but then also depends on his offset and tires, rolling the fenders should help a lot on the back but its hard to deal with the rubbing in front..
