Default Just installed S-Tech's but forgot...

I installed S-techs on my 09 yesterday but I totally forgot to cut the bumpstops on the front. I already returned the spring compressor I rented from auto-zone too. The car seems to ride great still. What kind of problems will I run into if I just leave them the way they are?

I didn't realize until after I had the whole car back together that I was suppose to cut about an 1" off of them...

Pics of my car for reference:

From what I've read, cutting them won't make it sit any lower. They are just there to prevent the strut from bottoming out.

oh geez, lol. That would not be fun! I'm not sure if you misunderstood my post though... I still have bumpstops, just forgot to cut them. So I have the whole entire bumpstop in the assembly.

nah i saw a before and after with the bumpstops and without is definatly alot lower especially since these are S-techs and there suppose to be lower in the front, in teh pics above it looks almost like the back is alittle lower

cutting the bumpstops shouldnt make it sit any lower.
since you didnt cut them, that just means there will be less travel so youll bottom out more frequently.

Maybe mine will settle a little more. I only have 25 miles on it now since I installed them. Those pics were taken with less than a mile on it.

I am happy with the stance now. The roads around here are pretty bad anyways. Lots of steep hills. I think I will keep the bumpstops in there the way they are. It still rides really good, even over big bumps and potholes.

you can still cut the bumpstop, just use a sharp knife with the car jacked up, and cut it, its probably not worth the effort, and your shocks will eventually blow anyways

i wouldnt sweat it!

from personal experience, cutting bump stops did make the front sit lower. the rears you can get away with.
