Megan is a cheaper brand. I would avoid it. The new s-techs might be the drop you are looking for. They don't go as low as the old ones and atleast a ton of people have used them with success. Or look into progress too. No matter what springs you get, the stock struts will blow prematurely. Safest route is most likely TRD, but that's not much of a drop.

What kind of drop are you looking for?

It's fully dependent on the ride height the longevity of the shocks. It's been said before, the lower the height the less life they'll have. I think if they lower more than TRD and Tein H-tech upgraded shocks are recommended, most def for Tein S-tech.

Sound like the h-techs would be the springs you want. 1.75 is still some what aggressive but keep in mind that the OEM struts can ware out anything beyond 1.25 of a drop. I completely agree with dropzone, the lower the drop the less life the OEM struts will have. Ever though about getting coilovers? Some can be pricey but in the long run, it's well worth it.
