Default MonsterMotorWorks Rear Strut Bar Installed

just got my rear strut tower bar installed today. went for a quick drive with it just to see if i could feel a difference with it installed. basically, for those who say it doesn't do anything-i couldn't disagree with them more. what they say is true when u're under 5mph. but that's also the case when u have sway bars on the stiffest setting-under 5mph, u won't really feel those as well. i took my car on the parkway by my house because it has a bunch of bends and curves as u head east. the bar definitely does make the car feel more rigid, and i'm more than happy to have gotten it. it looks good-although that doesn't mean much since u can't see it, but the fact that it helps even slightly with the suspension of the car does mean alot. for those who are going to be racing their tcs, this is something i definitely recommend. for those who just like driving fast for the hell of it like i do, get it as well. the people who like to cruise down main street at 10mph looking at whatever, this probably isn't where u'd wanna spend ur money. it's also worth noting that when u install a strut bar, u should jack the car up and then install the bar. i didn't do this the first time with my front bar,so i didn't notice any difference with it. once i took the bar off , then reinstalled it with the car jacked up, i could feel a difference . i didn't even realize u had to do that until like a month ago. so for the people who say the strut bars do nothing, have u been installing them properly? anyways, here's a couple of pics i took after installing the bar.

also, this is a good site that kinda goes into detail on how a strut bar benefits cars.

I'd love to do both sways, and both strut bars. I think it would at least help a little in autocross. Some day I'll have money.

it's very basic to install and is very easy to install.
Just unbolt the rear strut nuts and drop it in place.
Remeber to jack up the rear of the car for preloading the chassis.

All strutbars should be installed this way.

Were working on a Monster Front bar also for the TC.
Which will be released very soon.

Good write-up on an excellent product.

Maybe the "doubters" and "experts" will change their minds now that someone who has no financial interest in MMW has installed and written about an excellent product.

im still doubting it, but eventually i might just buy the damn thing to either prove myself wrong, or prove my statement that it doesnt do a damn thing. i guess that will be the only way i will find out.

what i see happening with this bar is that the body structure is better tied together.. giving you alot more regidity (less twist/flex).... i dont see it doing anything for the struts since that area is pretty well structured.... just like the front strut brace.. i have one.. but i bought it in hopes of providing more regidity, not to keep the strut towers from moving persai... since the towers are pretty much part of the firewall in this car..

just my opinion.. and like they say... opinion are like _______s.. everybody has one...

the doubter is a 19 year old with a $90 car sponsorship.

i would hope people take what he says with a grain of salt.

they have a first hand account of proof that it works with this customer review and this other guy doesn't.

you will realize as you grow older. I'm not "hating" I'm just making a point. You're not the most experienced person to be making recommendations about parts you haven't tested

p.s. I get a free turbo kit in 3 weeks. i didn't even pay $90 for it

your point isnt valid unless you know my expierence. what if i grew up building cars since i was 4? i didnt, but you wouldnt know that if i did.

also, i can make OPINIONS on a part that i havent tested, anyone can. Im sure you have opinions on parts that you feel are pointless as well. and as i said before, i might end up buying the damn thing to see if my assumption was correct or incorrect. age has nothing to do about knowledge of a cars structure. but im gonna take a stab at it and say your maybe 21-25 age, so (if im correct), them few years makes you know alot more then me about a rear strut bar? i meen come on, a person with no knowledge of cars could explain what the purpose of a solid bar does/or doesnt do.

my OPINION stands that i feel the rear strut bar is a waste of money.

and im glad you are getting a free turbo, and i wouldnt expect you to pay $90 for a free kit like you said before. just hope its not a turbonator

the fact that you think a 4 year old could build cars makes my point valid. and your idiotic analogy doesn't cut it.

please don't keep responding. if you want to argue lets take it to PM's. I'm not interested in junking up the forums with this mess.
thanks

matty, PM me then if you have a problem with me.

hayalex6, if you look at my very first post, i said... "im still doubting it, but eventually i might just buy the damn thing to either prove myself wrong, or prove my statement that it doesnt do a damn thing. i guess that will be the only way i will find out."

i wasnt jacking his post at all, i simply said i will probably buy the bar to see if i was right or wrong about it. and the name calling isnt necessary at all.

I too am interested in any 'real' benefits of this product. so far i am satisfied with the suspension set up i have but anything that is going to help it turn or keep it stable i'm interested in.

anymore reviews from people who have bought this product AND drive their car hard enough to notice a difference??

btw, i dont see anything wrong with break_away expressing his opinions. id rather see more people challenging statements than jumping on the band wagon and praising them. my 2 cents.
