NEED HELP ON BRAKES. am i in the right spot?
My g/f has an 05 TC and im having problems with her brakes. The pedal play is huge and i pretty much have to touch the floor for a complete stop. Ive tried bleeding the brakes after a brake pad change maybe a few months back. Right after that the pedal pressure was good but slowly the pedal pressure started to get bad. This was also happening before the brake pad change.
Should I try bleeding the brakes again? have any of you experienced the same problem?
Ill try any ideas.
thanks

i would suggest tring to pressure bleed it once, if the problem is still there afterwards it sounds like your master cylinder has internally gone bad. Or if the fluid level is dropping you could have a leak. But since you said this was starting to happen prior to the brake pad change im leading more towards the master cylinder going bad...

^^ when bleeding the brakes did you just bleed the caliper or did you also bleed the master cylinder? if you had let the master cylinder go low while bleeding, you would've introduced air into the master cylinder. Which you'd then have to bleed that seperately from the rest of the system.

You have to get all the air out of the system. Check this out:
