Default Need help removing springs

OK, I'm swapping out my TRDs for the Hotchkis, and I got the strutt assembly off.
I got the springs compressed, but I can't get that top nut off cause the shaft keeps turning.
One right up said I need to use a box wrench and an allen wrench, but I can't see where I'm supposed to use the allen wrench.
The Hotchkis instructions say to use a wratchet, but the shaft keeps turning.
It also lists in the neccessary tools a 6mm allen, but I don't see when it is used.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

there should be an allen hole in the top of the strut piston that the threads for the top nut is on.

also if you compress the spring enough to get your hand in there you can usually hold the piston tight enough with your hand to remove the top nut.

I tried holding it with a pair of vice grips and no good.
The hole in the top looks way too small for any allen wrench to be of use.
I just WD-40 the hell out of it, had my buddy clamp the vice grips to the top plate and the top coil of the spring, barely compressed, and I layed the whole thing horzontal and cranked on it with my breaker bar. that got the job done.
