Default need help on springs

ok guys. i know that there's a whole thread for springs and everything, and i've done lots of research in that thread, but i'm having a real hard time deciding on what springs to get for my tC, and i need some direct advice.

i'm looking for a nice simple drop. nothing dramatic. i just want to fill up the gaps, and get the gaps in the front and back to be as close to a match as possible. i also want to maintain comfort and handling, and not endanger myself on scrapes. in other words, i still want to be able to pull into a high-curb driveway.

also, i'd really like the gap to be the same on top as it is on the sides. in other words, i want the line that my fender makes around my tires to be evenly spaced from the front to the back. on both the front and back tires.

so, what should i get?

i just ordered the trd's, but i was able to catch them before they shipped the order and tell them i wasn't sure, and to hold off. the h-techs are looking like the only other option. someone said they are a softer ride than the trd's, but that the trd's handle better.

i'm just getting overwhelmed trying to figure all of this out, and i need help.

thanks,

alvin

I think for a simple drop with performance, go with TEIN H-Techs. Sometimes TRDs are a little higher and doesn't give an even look around the tires. H-Tech my friend, H-Tech....

trd or hotchkis...trd if you like the name and want to keep warranty, hotchkis for a 'slightly' better look than the TRDs in my opinion, but the trds are the safest for the car (you won't bottom out easily)

h-techs aren't an even drop, it will be higher in the rear. i had h-techs on my last tc and wasnt satisfied. so i wrecked that one so that i could get a new one, which i recently installed the hotchkis springs on and i'm way more satisfied with them. they cover the gaps perfectly and it's a much mroe even drop. haven't had any scraping problems either yet. therefore i recommend the hotchkis.

damn quantice, i wish i had seen your post a few days ago. i already ordered the trd's, but i would have had to go with your suggestion just on principle, because you have a lifetime icon. never would've expected to see that here.

i would use progress springs im currently run them they are 1.8 in allaround but settle to 2 in they have a soft ride but awesome when you corner. so its not all bounce and not offset like the many springs out there.

i use the Oink tracker on bit torrent. they normally get all advance releases right away so if something leaked it should be on there. i dont remember who told me it leaked but if it hasn't it should by the end of the month
