Default Need more info...

hello to all,
i am a new owner of a 06 nb and am looking to take off my "off road package" and lower my car. i have visited this sight many times before and after i bought my car knowing that the first thing that i have to do is to lower my car. my question for all of you is that i have noticed that a lot people coment on how well the car looks and that they perform well will there set up but have not notice anyone comment on how the ride changed. i know when i lower my car that the ride will get more ferm but i would like to now is how it compairs with the way it drove stock since that is what i have to compair with. i really like the way the s-techs look but i dont know if thats what i want if its going to cause my teeth to shatter. if that is the case than i want to go with something else. any help from you guys that have lowered your car i would like any suggestions that you have. my car is a daily driver and i will be doing this drop with stock shocks/struts with after market down the road. i am more interested in springs then coil overs not because i dont like them its just i dont have that kind of money thank you[/img]

Default Drop

Depending on how much you want to drop your ride, we've been surprised at the comments on how much softer the ride is with the Hotchkis Springs on the car versus stock. The drop is a bit more than TRD and will drop the rear a little more than they do the front.

I have s-techs on my tc and truthfully I like the ride better. I think it has an overall firmer feel but still has a somewhat soft ride to it. Not neck breaking. We have very bumpy roads here and it does not bother me one bit. The only thing I would like to change is my struts. I have stock struts now and think the ride quality will be better when I switch them. Plus I wont hear my struts hitting the bump stops on the wonderful roads here.

I don't think it is too low. I can get it on my lift at work and if I can do that then it's not too low. The only problem you may have is if you need to get the car on a flatbed trailer. They will have to bring boards. But if you have no body kit or lip kit then you should be able to get it on a lift easily and shouldn't have to worry about bumps or train tracks. I measured my car before I put them in just to make sure that it wouldn't sit too low. I would suggest doing this and seeing what you think. If you have larger rims though you may run into a problem. I like my stock ones so I have no intent of changing them.
