im wanting to replace the springs in my TC. looks pretty straight forward, but all the reading i have done here i cannot find where anyone has done an alignment after the install. I was always under the impression that is was needed after the drop,

Opnions?

 

Absolutely needed after a spring replacement!!!

 

i recommend getting one right after and about 2 months down the road after the springs have fully settled.

2 weeks - 2 months is pretty much the norm.

 

just wait till they look like they settled after about 2-3 weeks then go get an alignment. front and rear CAN be done..just some shops say rear cant be..theres a thread on here that actually showed how u can adjust the chamber for the rear

 

alignment settings change with ride height changes. try firestone's lifetime alignment for $180. You can get your car aligned the day you install the springs and then 2 weeks later, then 2 months later and every time you change your oil.

 

that firestone alignment after the second time is pull it in stair at it for 30 minutes pull it out, yup its good.

i'm actually thinking about getting the firestone lifetime alignment...are you sure they don't do anything or are you just assuming? i'd like to know before i get it lol

 

i paid for that pos "deal". after i talked with the "manager" of the shop, who told me i could work on the car and then bring it back with no problems. i adjusted my ride height a couple of times and took it up there and they said the plan doesn't cover changes to your suspension, only regular maintenance. so i explained that the "manager" said that i could do that. he told me he was the manager and the other guy wasn't. so i tried to get my money back and he said corporate would have to cut me a check and send it to me. guess what i never got a check. so fukk firestone!!

 

wow..is there anyone else who had this type of situation?
