This is ironic...

Someone keyed my Girlfriends '74 Superbeetle and she used criminal mischief. Her step father is a cop so maybe that helped, idk..

Im angry for you, 09.. thats f*cked. But if I were you... I wouldnt park that old VW there either. :-/

getaforknjob 10-28-2009 01:56 AM

True that.
Just park a few blocks away from school.

Or take the bus.

getaforknjob 10-28-2009 01:56 AM

Does your school have security cameras?

NYNCTC 10-28-2009 01:59 AM

wow!!! i feel terrible. when you find the person, send them my way and i'll knock some sense into them...east coast style

getaforknjob 10-28-2009 02:01 AM

Hellz ya.

09SocalTC 10-28-2009 02:31 AM

lol well the 67 still needs new paint so i wouldn't worry if so one keyed it just yet
and as for security camera my school is broke we don't have sheet here haha

dqlostsoulz 10-28-2009 02:45 AM

That sucks bro dam haters!! Did you take someones lady? Maybe someone is jealous.

Go4shoped 10-28-2009 02:49 AM

back on topic. lol.

anyone else have to modify their spanner wrench to work on the fronts?
http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/7853/pic004.jpg

Mine wouldnt work AT ALL. The tab is welded on but im sure some epoxy would work just fine to hold a piece of metal on there.

engifineer 10-28-2009 02:52 AM

If you turn the spanner so that the tab on the tip is pulling on the lock nut, then you shouldnt need that other tab on there. At least that is how it should work on most locknuts with spanners that I have seen

09SocalTC 10-28-2009 02:54 AM

no need to modify it...well mine worked fine

the arch on the wrench is entirely way too big for the arch on the ring. when you go to tighten up the ring it only touches about 35-45% of the arch on the wrench. then you put pressure on the wrench, the tab on the tip slips out of the groove, and you bust a knuckle.

the welded-on tab is just there to reduce the radius of the arch to match the ring.

engifineer 10-28-2009 02:59 AM

hmm.. if that is the case then it is just crap design or they sent you the wrong spanners :P

rrimportracer 10-28-2009 03:06 AM

use the smaller spanner they sent... actually mine worked fine

Hix 10-28-2009 03:10 AM

that's what i do to loosen them. but to back them against eachother you need 2 wrenches.

rrimportracer 10-28-2009 04:37 AM

no you dont.. just hold one with your hand and tighten with the small one
