i have a cai...im screwed i might have to buy one of those filter covers

happyhick025 09-24-2009 02:55 PM

eh i still don't know. even with one of those covers

codyshane13 09-24-2009 04:04 PM

just switch to a short ram, the difference between isn't even really noticeable. there you go, problem solved. ha ha

rosedaleny806 09-24-2009 04:06 PM

theres no difference between short ram and cold air, bolt ons=waste lol

FlintC 09-24-2009 04:38 PM

hmmm. i think ima order me some of these. consensus seems to be everyone likes them, no? how are they for a lil spirited driving? my tires cant hold up to much anyways bc they are cheap nexens, but im sittin on htechs, hotchkis sways and 17x8 on 245 nexens right now... doubt i can dump it completely bc of width but i might try

think these would be a nice add-on over the htechs? i also have konis upfront

yellowxhoodie 09-24-2009 04:57 PM

i woudnt use them for any sort of track use.

bc of durability or performance reasons? or both? i dont autox or anything, but sometimes i like to take a curve or corner kinda hard especially having hotchkis sways :icon_biggrin: for the money im tempted to try em

i got an aem cai...dont think you can make it a sri

codyshane13 09-24-2009 06:33 PM

That stinks. I had a injen so I'm not real familiar with the aem

NYNCTC 09-24-2009 06:40 PM

you can it into an SRI, with a little work probably.

Flint, you have some meaty tires, you'll probably rub quite a bit if you dump it.

I wouldnt track it but for the occasional hard turn these will be fine. The only reason i say no to the track is the fact that the locking collar isnt anything special so repetitive use may cause it to come loose.

09SocalTC 09-24-2009 06:50 PM

i have taken some hard turns with these, and they held up fine, but for autox i wouldn't even try haha
but i want a track car, like a s14 or some thing rwd is so much fun
