Official Raceland Coilovers Thread
new update. Went through some twisties to day with a friend that has ksports on a 05 spec-v and the racelands handle just as good a llttle better if you ask me. he had a lot mor bounce and i had a little more body roll but i didnt slide out in the corners he did. so the pluses and minuses
now that i've thought about it, im going to do them myself. i'll save alot more money and i wont have to wait for when the shop has time to do them for me.
The cheapest install I could find was $400, so if one breaks, they will refurb it for free, and send it back to you.
Or you can do it yourself, save the $400, and learn something about your car. Anyway, if one breaks, you can buy a whole new set for less than the install was, and have 3 spares incase anything happens to the other 3.

If I bought a new set and used 1 front coilover, you would have 3 left.
You can only use the front on the left or right side, so you would have 1 replacement there. With no replacement for the other side.
The back ones are interchangeable, so you would have 2 replace ment parts for the left or the right side, giving you a statistical number of 4 replacement possabilities there.
So the folowing equation would give you the true number of replacement parts you would have from the rest of the set after you replace the front one...
{1+(2+2)}/3=1.66666666
You would have 1.666666666666.... average replacements per tire for the three that were still running the old coilovers.
lol
...would they know? but yeah, maybe i wont then lol. i gotta get a quote from the shop first.

and has anyone dumped these all the way yet? i've read its a 3 inch drop all the way (i think) so that would tuck like, a half inch of tire. but ive also read that its closer to a 3.5 to 4 inch drop after they settle which would tuck closer to an inch or so of tire. thatd be awesome if thats the case

I've got mine lowered to about 1/2 inch above the bottom threads, and I'm tucking about 3/4 inch of rubber right now. I've had them on for 4 days now, and I can tell they are settling. I'm not sure how low they will be when they finish, but I'm sure if you're on 17's, the lowest setting would be unrealistic. My header is about 2 1/2 inches off the ground right now. lol
i can get the coil overs installed from a friend that is a Toyota tech.. which would cover warranty i guess if i get some kind of receipt from him. hes only going ot charge me 150 to do it or 200 at tuffy's lmao a good deal i guess
