So next week im getting my wilwood bbk powder coated after failing twice on just painting it. Everytime they bleed the brakes, brake fluid gets all over it and eats the paint lol. So im wondering if there is any precaution I need to take before getting this done to my BBK? because on the wilwood BBK it has this rubber silicon thing on the outside and im worried if it will melt during the process of baking my brakes.
thanks
thanks
x2 on taking all rubber and everything off.
and tell them to do a better job bleeding your brakes.
i had painted calipers and bled my brakes 4 times without any paint getting eaten, i also took it to a shop to have it power bled with no problems...

lol i used the G2 caliper paint kit on my stoptech kit and i bled the brakes last week and none of it came off. that stuff is tough. id recomend that, its cheaper and you dont have to take the caliper apart.
and to keep the StopTech logo i called up Stoptech and asked them to send me some decals that i used as a stencil. i have Black Calipers with the Red StopTech logo :D

i would take the rubber part off but the only rubber part on the wilwood brake kit i would have to cut it off because its stuck on there and its not something i can cut and put back on. Does anyone with the wilwood bbk got there brakes powder coated? and what did you do with the rubber silicon thing on front of the brake kit?
thanks
also im getting them done glossy red. lol
