Default Progress Rear Sway Bar = Amazing

Hey everyone, I just installed my Progress Tech Rear Sway Bar and all I can say is money well spent I was skeptical of sway bars mainly because of the prices for what is really only a metal rod, but now I can say it was worth every penny. If you're looking for a mod that provides instant gratification, look no further. The minute I hopped in the car I could feel a difference. The handling was more responsive, and NO MORE UNDERSTEER. For once, I was taking turns worrying about drifting instead of understeering off the road. I have mine set on the most agressive of the three available settings and it's perfect, the sterring is so much better and it doesn't take away from the ride quality one bit. 2 thumbs way up!

I payed somethin like $165 for the sway bar, shipped. I have the stock suspension for now, eventually i'll go for some coilovers. I was gonna get the Hotchkis bars until i found out what a pain in the a$$ it is to install the front sway. Considering I didn't want to have to pay to get it installed i just decided to go for the rear. Plus, I have heard people say that the front sway bar isn't all that necessary for a few reasons. Anyway, i'm very happy with just the rear and I was able to install it with a friend in a little over an hour, without even jacking up the car!

i got the trd sway with hotchkis springs and it's awesome as well. once i switched over to the race setting the ride suffered a small amount but handling improved greatly.

so you're telling me that on the most agressive setting, the quality of the ride does not change one bit (comfort wise)? if so...you just confirmed my sway bar dilemma :D

the ride will suffer a little but nothing not worth the extra handling you'll get with it. i don't regret either the hotchkis springs or the trd sway at all.

I have the progress rear sway bar on my tC (have had one on my last three cars) and was actually pretty dissapointed after I put it on. Dissapointed but not unhappy. The reason I was unhappy was that it did not make near the difference that it did on my focus or my EK. Don't get me wrong, it is still one of the best mods for the money but I still get a lot of understeer with the car. That has a lot to do with the car, the Focus was just a much more nimble car overall. I have Tein Basics as well and overall it is a great neutral suspension. If your thinking about one, do it, especially with a stock suspension.
