Default Progress vs. Hotchkis?

Ok at 1st i was going to drop my tc on trd's but after reading many posts on here i have deceided against that drop. I was thens et on Hotchkis until last night i came across the progress springs. Any body have these? Which would be the better drop?

i've heard many opinions on both and i'd say it's personal preference. most of the name brand springs are going to be good quality, you just have to decide which drop length you like better... don't forget to factor in a camber correction kit -- almost any kit out there except for the TRD's will need one or you'll experience premature tire wear and visible camber issues.

that is incorrect. i have hotchkis springs and i got the camber taken out by taking it to a shop and having an alignment done. no camber kits are needed. just a simple 4 wheel alignment

indeed. ive had hotchkis with neg camber since oct05 and i seriously cant tell on tire wear? I do plan on taking it to a local shop to get the camber fixed.

3rd'd.

A camber kit is NOT necessary. Yes, when you install the springs you will have camber (and toe) issues... but they will be corrected with an alignment - which you should get with ANY new spring/suspension install that changes the geometry there.

I meet up with a guy who has hotchkis installed and he said no camber kit was needed. Only thing i didnt like about his car on hotchkis was the front is slammed down on the tire and his rear had a lil bit of gap..i came home looked at some pics and theres a lot of them like that. So i dont know if im digging that...this means progress is def. out as it drops the front a lil more then the hotchis 1.8 vs1.7 and drops the rear less. I then started to look for other springs something a little lower then trd but not as low as hotchkis and i found h&r sport springs. Not many people running them and they cost way more then other springs..so im on the search for pics of tc's with the h&r sports..

progress and hotchkis are both good, and they give a good drop.
flip a coin.

Same issue... i had a hotchkis set sitting in my garage after seeing yaniks sick ride, but then i saw a car in person with the uneven front and found way too many pics with the same problem so i have opted for the trd's... im not looking for a severe drop anyways

You can't rely on those numbers. You have to look at pics.
The hothckis leave it a little lower in the front then the back.
The TRDs leave it a little lower in the back then in the front, which I think looks even worse. I've had both.
Haven't seen the progress in person, but the drop looks tight.
