No thats the standard price for Scion tC Basics. They probably meant that the Basics in general for other cars start at 750 but for the tC, its a bit more expensive.

With the capitalized "B" in Basic it implies the Tein Basic coilovers, unfortunately this pricing doesn't apply to the tC. No vender is really supposed to offer those for less than like $1000 anyways, and that's their entry coilover setup. For that price there are coilovers that offer much more than just height adjustment. I'd look at Function Form. You get pillow ball upper mounts for the front, damper adjustment, and independent height adjustment to keep full shock travel.

Tein has a MAP policy, which controls the minimum advertised pricing we as direct Tein dealers sell. So, you can always tell the retail direct dealers such as ourselves with all of our pricing points being VERY close to one another. If someone is really higher or lower, then changes are they are not dealing direct.

http://www.dezod.com/pd_tein_basic_c...r_kitscion.cfm

Note, Tein also changed their pricing as of Jun 1. So, we have the most up to date pricing available from them and others may not.

i like to deal with a store rather than online sometimes, more guaranteed service, it has happened to me before that they shipped the wrong product, or charges a ridiculous amount of fee for shipping and handling
