Default question about changing brake pads & ceramic pads

I'm about to install new front pads/rotors. When pushing in the caliper piston do i need to rotate it clockwise/counter-clockwise, or just push it down/in? Thanks.

EDIT: do the rear caliper pistons need to be rotated or pushed in straight? thnx

Just straight it. I use a regular old C-Clamp.

what about the rear caliper pistons?

I've heard others say that ceramic pads eat up rotors at a faster rate. Is there any truth to that? I ask because I just bought the Powerslot Plus kit, and replacement rotors retail at $300 a piece. I'm considering ceramic pads, but not if they will eat up rotors at a faster rate.

It really depends on what ceramic pads youre' going to be using. If it's the Axxis Ultimate Cerametallic pads, then they will definitely eat up rotors. But if you're going to get something closer to stock pads like the Hawk Ceramic pads, they are not as bad as the Axxis as far as eating up rotors.
