I dont mean to flame but do you even know what EDFC is? I think if you did, you would know that the Tein Basics dont have adjustable dampening. Only the Super Streets have adjustable dampening and only with the Pillowball upper mounts can you even install the EDFC onto the Super Street coilovers.

You should do some more research on a product before you go and spend $1000 on it.

i am researching thats why i created this post so that i didnt do anything that i would regret. i looked around online for the answer to the question i asked but i couldnt find it so i decided to ask here for an answer. does the tein basic only offer height adjustment? i dont really know how coilovers work thats why i have been reading some forums before i buy them. and whats exactly is adjustable dampening and is it worth the extra money between basics and SS for everyday driving?

Start your research here.

Then look here.

Note the EDFC at the bottom of the page. It says for SS-P in the notes.

Note the table at the top. It says EDFC not compatible with the SS.

On the second page, it says no EDFC for ANY of them.

This means if you don't have SS-P, don't even think about EDFC.

The edfc will not work.

The pillowball mounts put on the ss make it so the edfc will work.... And by there site says it will only work with the ss-p.

I dont know if it will work if you buy the pillowball mounts seperate.

the edfc is a pimp machine. but its not really neccessary
unless u need to change it on the fly. but most people will just take it to a track and change the dampening force after a run. makes more sense.

Yea it does but... I wanna see you change the rear with all the panels in place... and also the front is a pain to change

I made a hole in each side just big enough to put a hex key through to adjust them. It's not visible unless you are looking for it. I don't know what you mean about the fronts, they're pretty simple especially with the rubber covers in place.

I did the same thing on my Supra, it's worked well for years now.
