Rate Best Coilovers for tC!!!!
You generally increase the spring rate when you do a drop otherwise the suspension can't properly accomodate the decrease in ground clearance. Super stiff would be optimal if you're racing (ie. SCCA) but too stiff will beat you on your daily drive. The Tein options are all overly stiff which translates to excellent handling but not much on the comfort scale. The TRD springs are roughly 175 lb/in F and 315 lb/in R which is pretty comparable to what I'm estimating the rates for the H&R coilovers to be and is probably the smallest difference over stock. The next softest coilovers are the Progress option which is what Sport Compact Car magazine chose for their Project tC.

i thought the stock's rear is too stiff, the reason i say it not because i drive hard or anything but when i do go over speed bumps, my rear always feel like it gets some air (and i go really slow over them). i think the lack of weight + hard spring rate on the back is causing that. but i am not sure how it affects handling if it was not as hard...
