Rattle Noise When at Idle
So I been having a rattling noise issue. When I turn on the car in the mornings, 30-35 degrees F. I hear a rattling noise coming from the driver side engine bay. The rattling continues through the warm up of the car usually until RPM's are around 1k. Once the car is warmed up the rattling stops, but when I put the car in reverse( 5 Spd) and let the clutch out the rattling comes back but when i push the clutch back in it goes away. At the end of the day the rattle does not come up, only when i put the clutch in. It feels worst in the cold mornings but at the end of the day you can barely hear it. Idk what it could be.. any input? thanks. Mods are : HKS axle back.
Actually my water pump is leaking but the leak has seized. The noise is not coming from the water pump. It sounds like a loose or broken shocks, or engine mounts but the shop said my motor mounts are good so are my shocks..when I go on dips or pumps it makes it even more. got 90k miles got a new clutch at 30k miles. any input?
I forgot the name of it off the top of my head but i think you may be hearing the gas recycle valve, you can trace it back from your intake. It usually makes a loud ticking or rattle if you will after a few years....kinda like that old school popple toy. i have not replaced mine yet and have been driving with it for a while now. It got louder too with CAI/E/TB/I install. Just an idea.
