s.techs squeaking.. anyone else notice this?
well, to keep it short.. i had s-techs on at first and switched it out to tein basic coilovers. after giving up on the harsh ride, i sold my basics and put back my stock shocks with the tein s-techs.. now i notice that there's a squeaky sound coming from the rear springs. i know the shocks arent blown because i did the "bounce check" and the shocks are still practically new.. at least 5000 miles on them, and driven with carefully. the squeaky sound only comes up when there's pressure put on the rears.. like if i have passengers, or going over a mild bump.. anyone have any ideas what it is? or i just gotta break it in a bit? it's been on the car for like 200 miles now. thanks!
i have the same squeaking sound but mine is coming from the front... i have the s techs on an 08, put it on with about 200miles on the stock shocks, only hear it though when going slow going over humps or going down the drive way, im thinking the shock and spirng set up is just trying to settle, anyone else have this problem or has come across it... know if it goes away? my bro has an 06 with the same set up but he cant remember if it happened to him
Yes!!! I have S-Techs on stock shocks, and I have a squeaking sound coming from the front and rear. I'm about to switch out to Tein Basics because it's driving me crazy that my '07 sounds like an old schooner.
