Well Im a little biased, but if you check out this article here: http://hondanews.com/CatID3018?mid=2...66750&mime=asc you will see who the clear winner in braking was for the RSX Challenge and also if you look here: http://www.toyota.com/motorsports/ne.../10-06-01.html you will see who Toyota chose for the tC's that will be used in the celebrity race at the 2006 Long Beach Grand Prix.
Heres a pic of the kit installed on the celebrity tC:

So what's the best kit for the money for the tC? I want to spend as little as possible to get the best kit as possible....if that makes any sense.

OK so a BBK for the rear is pretty much useless. Most of the stopping power is done up front. What i want is to improve our ebrake. Many times, i've parked on my hill, pulled the ebrake as high as possible, let my foot off the brakes and my car rolls backwards. Can I get a caliper just for that without getting a rear BBK.
Actually the e-brake is a drum design that is inside the rear hub area of the rotor. The rear caliper doenst do anything for the ebrake. You may want to look into tightening up the e brake cable (if possible) to see about getting more force on it.
This might be a dumb question but is there a big difference between the 1.5k kit and the other kit that Stoptech sells aside from appeareance? I'm a daily/spirited driver that wants something nice, preferablely eye catching, but I'm not willing to pay 1.5k for brakes.
The stage 2 kit includes stock sized rotors slotted or drilled along with stainless steel braided lines, Axxis Ultimate brake pads and 3 bottles of Motul RBF600 brake fluid.
The pads have a higher coefficient of friction than stock along with a maximum operating temperature of 1000 degrees F. The SS lines have less flex than the stock rubber lines which will give you better response and increased pedal pressure which allows for better driver feedback and better pedal modulation. The Motul brake fluid has a higher boiling point than stock fluid which holds up better than the stock fluid under severe conditions. Since the rotors are stock sized, you are not increasing heat capacity, but the slots or drills will increase bite and they look nice behind the wheels
We also paint the hub and vane areas of the rotors black so the unswept rotor surfaces dont rust.
You will see a defenite improvement with stage 2 kit over stock and most street drivers find it meets their higher performance needs. With a BBK you are basically getting all of the same benefits as a stage 2 kit along with the increased heat capacity of the larger rotors and pads, stiffer calipers, much better pad selection for race/autocross/street applications and bragging rights for having sweet looking brakes.
