Default Scion tC Engine dampners???

I'm looking into buying an Engine Dampner for my tC and I have noticed 2 main brands, Secret Weapon's and Ingalls "Stiffy." I did read the great review of the "Stiffy" but I also would like to know if anyone has had problems with the "Stiffy"?

Any help on this would be great in making my purchase.

And YES...I said STIFFY

I've heard the Stiffy is quite good. I think ZPI has tested both and I'm pretty sure it didn't take them long to break the WeaponR one... but the Stiffy held up.

This is starting to sound like a Viagra commercial

Also, I plan on S/C and other goodies to hit 200-220 whp. I think the test stiffy was more horsepower then I will ever hit.

how in the heck did you break it in 3 weeks... I have had mine on there for 3 months and not a single issue. Did you break the mount or what? Weapon R has changed the mount on the tC. I have the new mount and seriously not a single issue with mine.

pre-ordered mine, paid alot less...but yea, they will be better buy

i had the Weapon R damper the day it came out, put it in...was fine, then BAM...
the shock busted basically, i contacted them and they just refunded me my money..i did not want another one

i kno of a few tc's in my area with the same issue, but they had it replaced with a new one.

Welll techncially i paid preorder price....but my gaskets blew on my stage 0 so they sent those for me for free instead of refunding me the moeny so i consider that an even trade.

What about Motor mounts and a Stiffy? Or will that be over kill for a 220whp motor?

yea motor mounts get rid of the movement on both sides, so those are better in theory.

highlandermac has the stiffy and though it took care of A LOT of the motion from that ocean. but some still ripples from the other side of the engine.

stiffy you can do in less than 30 mintues... the motor mounts... over 1 hr and i would say about 20 times harder in my opinion. (i do consider the damper very easy)
