Shocks/Struts Blown - Need Recommendations
Hello SL,
It's been forever since I've been here. I still have my 05 tC and I am asking for reputable shock/struts recommendations from reputable sites. I have the TRD shocks/struts with Tein H-tech springs. Unfortunately my TRD shocks/struts are now leaking and needs to be replaced. To make it worse, TRD discontinued making them. Does anyone have any recommendations for shocks/struts? I don't see a need to buy a coilover set.
I greatly appreciate you all.

Measure strut-housing diameter. If they're 2", you can hollow them out and use Koni adjustable hacksaw inserts. Can turn adjustment **** for soft ride-comfort or stiff performance setting.

Would regular KYB's work in this case? I think if the drop isn't over 1-1.5", the normal excel-g should work. KYB made the original TRD set anyways. I had those for the xA along with the TRD lowering springs. That was a pretty sick stock set. Good luck!
KYB's 'work' but the Excel G's are not what I would call comfortable. I would check out the Tein EnduraPro's as they now make replacement dampers for the 1g and 2g tC's. The Plus version provides dampening adjustment.
