my dad wouldnt let me touch the car the car was out of warranty, so i feel your pain, only my 30,000 mile warranty was gone in about 6 months, then i was free to do as i wanted. My dad knows the auto market, he just didnt want to challenge the dealership if somthing was to go wrong, i guess it was CYA, of course, he was making the payments, now i am.

First of all, it will not void the complete warantee, but it would probably make your parents feel better to hear it from the dealership.
Secondly, if my parents were to buy me a brand new car, I sure as hell would not think they were "___"
I would be greatfull, and if they told me not to do something with it, I wouldn't.

^Ditto. I'd be greatful.

Have them talk to the dealership for themselves.

If they say do it, then do it. If not, then don't.

i asked the dealership myself one time, and he said as long as they are professionally installed, you shouldn't have a problem, but he's like w/ the TRD springs, your're in the clear, even if the dealer didn't install them. thats why i'm looking into the trd springs.

trust me i had the same thing go w/ my parents, but its all about the part, and if the part causes the problem w/ the car it would, but if the part u add doesnt cause the problem on the car than u are fine

Just tell them You would be at a lower center of gravity and Your car will be safer in Emergency Situtations as in avoiding things in the road...or avoiding someone stopping in front of you!...

If you had a suspension problem with a non toyota/trd part then you warranty wouldnt be honored.

If your headlights wouldnt turn on then your replacing the springs will not effect the warranty.

It all depends on what you replace and what its relationship is to whatever broke. The TRD parts are exempt from this. If you put a TRD suspension on your car and you have trouble with the suspension your warranty is still honored.

Well one thing you gotta learn. When living under there roof and well they bought you the car, somehow the parents are always right now matter how much you explain and how much you b-i-t-c-h and convince them, especially Asian parents. The best solution is move out, or danmit just do it without them knowing! unless your dropping the car like REAL DEEP and adding 20s, they probbaly can't tell the difference if you drop it an inch or two. UNLESS your asking them to BUY you the springs, so you can ask them for MORE MONEY to have them installed, than well, get a job =).

Back in the Dark Ages, before there were lowering springs, there were cutting torches.
My mom's brand new '56 Chevy got an extreme "California rake," along with a set of glass packs! My a@@ still hurts!
