Default spring question

so i bought a 06' SW tC last night...and i've already decided that i need to lower that fender gap between the wheels. i think i will go w/ the TRD spring set....question is, is alignment necessary when its not much of a drastic drop, like from what you would get with s-techs and such (2.0+ drop)...?

your best bet is to get an alignment. However this has been discussed a crap load of times. click the res search button up top for best results. You will find lots of info re: your topic

Oh and congrats on the tC, its a great car!!

yeah, i know what you mean. To use the search button and get the results you want its practically an art. Try searchning again but click the "search all terms" option. youll get better results.

i would also recommend an alignment the day after your spring install (to give the springs a little time to settle), your rear camber will be alot more noticable than the front. so spend the $60 for an alignment now.... or hundreds on tires a few months down the road...

it doesnt matter how much you drop your car, you will still change the camber, so you need an alignment. the main differance with a trd drop (1.25") and a stech drop (2"), is with the stech you will need a rear camber kit like the hotchkis kit so you can adjust your camber more. and you wouldnt need a camber kit for the trd drop

Camber isn't the problem. The toe is the problem. You could completely ignore the camber change, and as long as the toe is good, your tires will be fine.
