1) Those numbers look like the distance lowered (in inches) of each spring set, not the spring rate (which is measured in force/distance).

2) There is a sticky at the top of this subforum with this information in it. You may want to review the list there and add anything not included.

The spring rate for the stockers are 25.5 N/mm and the TRD's are 29.8 N/mm
(Taken from scoin service manual)

Awesome, terra, thanks!

According to Google, that works out to:
25.5 (newtons per millimeter) = 145.608752 pounds force per inches
29.8 (newtons per millimeter) = 170.162385 pounds force per inches

So the TRD's are about a 17% increase.

Front 1.7" (43mm) Drop 175 lbs/in (Stock 150 lbs/in)
Rear 1.97" (50mm) Drop 285 lb/in (245 lbs/in)
for hotchkis on their web site, I was wondering about that also, for what all the spring rates were, since there really hard to find. stiffer gives better performance right? I'm still learning all this, I want the hotchkis, but I'm just now noticing the spring rate. dose anyone have a good comparison on rate vs handling? Something generic that I and others can associate.

The Hotchkis springs look to be about the same rate as the TRDs, just lower. Yes, stiffer gives better performance (in that they resist body roll more), but the stiffer you get, the less comfortable the ride. To compare, the Tein Basic Coilover set has spring rates around 480-500 lbs/in. So figure a 300-350% increase in stuffness vs the 17% increase that the Hotchkis or TRD give over stock.
