stechs or htechs
For optimal handling.. or just wanting to drop? Because neither is right for optimal handling.. the stechs are WAY too low and too soft to handle well... they handle worse than stock when you really push the car. Htechs are better, but still too low and too soft for the amount of drop.
John if you want to go with performance go with Progress. The drop is nice and it handles REAL well. That's what I had before I switched to S-Techs, because I wanted to just go lower. If I get tired of being too low I'd go with Progress in a heartbeat.
ever checked out hotchkis or h&r? I have htechs right now, but they are a bit soft. stechs are all show and you will get sick of them after awhile since they handle so poorly and you will scrape everywhere. They look sick, but on a dd, they can be a pain sometimes...

As for scrapping that depends on how you drive and where you live, i live near some pretty rough roads but ive always driven lowered cars so i just know how to handle the drop....

I've driven lowered cars a bit as well and you will scrape w/ stechs. You can minimize this by altering your driving habits, road conditions, etc, but you will still scrape sometimes even if you know how to handle the drop...

No No i completely agree with you, the S-techs are to extereme of a drop to have for handling performance as well as H-techs... But with some supporting suspensions mods the S-techs can be alright is what i was trying to get at....Like i said im not out tracking my car on a road course/auto-x but i do take some spirited corners while dirivng in the sticks haha, and with a nice set of rubber then do just fine for the driving I DO.....
But no i agree with you and you were not harsh you were stating the truff
thanks for everyones feedback!
nice to know everyone here is very helpful
actually i just want a very nice even look
and since im getting konis, i will have the stiffness to whichever i want
and also getting the strut and sways etc, but thats not to later on
since i have stockies on 225s, i wanted to know which springs will go well with that
(based on the 225s basically)
stechs are a bit low, and the roads here are kinda "holy" if catch my drift
but they are obvious to see and easy to avoid
htechs have a mid drop and i know they are lower than TuRDs =P
