aftermarket control arms for our car is a waste, all you need is urethane bushings to replace your stock ones

Are any special tools required to replace the control arms, specifically the front left lower control arm on a 2005 TC? I slid into a curb on ice and bent one. I am probably going to replace it myself this weekend. Do I have to do anything to the shocks or struts? I didn't see anything about replacing them on here. Considering I bent the control arm, what else could have gotten bent, or what should I look for?

I slid into a curb diagonally doing less than 20mph.

I ended up buying a replacement control arm from my Toyota dealership for about $160. Although it didn't require any special tools, it still took about 6 hours to get it removed and replaced although I wasn't under my car the whole time. I had my mechanic neighbor help me out, but removing it and reinstalling it is not easy at all.

The part of the arm that has the vertical bolt is a complete beyotch to remove and all sorts of prying and banging on stuff was required. Same thing with reinstalling it. Grease is definitely helpful along with using ratchet extensions to center the bolts back in place. It is now replaced and I will have to go in and have my alignment taken care of, but hopefully I don't ever need to replace it again. It's not an easy replacement.
