Default tein's

how much different is the basics from the ss-p

I know the ss-p have upper pillow-ball mounts but will their be a noticeable difference specially since I just need new struts and shocks so I just decided to get coil's instead

I don't race my car don't go do mountain run's or anything I just want my car to handle better and have a good drop, just don't know which of the two to get

Basics... The ss-p basically has more adjust ability and since you will just set it and forget it your static stance will benefit more from the savings you get on the basics

No reason to drop ~1600 on the SS-p. They are there for more adjustment. Allowing you to make the car feel how yu want it to for that particular day or area or whatever. Basics will be ok for you. Look at some of the other brands as well.

do you have sway's and sturt bar

I read on another thread you have no noise and what not but people are saying that you get noise with a aftermarket sway bar

I have SS-Ps with TRD rear sway and greddy front and rear strut bars. No problems with the SSPs and I have over 60K miles on them (about 5yrs on them too). They do handle great. I track them and I like the way they feel.

I was going to go with the hotchkis f&r sways but I heard people were having rubbing issues in the front between the coils and sway bar if you lowered them all the way. Don’t know if that’s still a problem or not.

My only complaint with Teins is how low they go. Maxed out, I’m at -1 finger gap. If you want the option of going really low, you might want to look into other brands.

If you were already looking at spending that kind of money on the SS-Ps I'd look into Stance coils.

basics and ssp will give you improved handling compared to stock. just depends how much you want to spend. either way you'll improve.

with ssps you'll be able to play with the dampening to suit your preferences. tein's spring rates for the basic and ssp are 390 lbs/in front, 560 lbs/in rear. i think they're too soft (i have ssp). you may want to compare with stance or function forms, which are also cheaper.
