We have slotted or drilled rotors available for the rear of the tC that fit the stock calipers. We may have a rear BBK in the future, but i can assure you it will not be cheap.

Yo instigator... the stoptech BBK should fit fine without spacers because I have the 18'' super spoke 7s right?

TIA

Hey, Instigator, I'm sorry to hear that UPS lost your order. Its times like this that I'm glad that I work for FedEx. I'm extremly jealous of you and your BBK. I desperatly want those. Enjoy the extra stopping power!

I desperately want to install it too, but it doesnt look like it will be going in until mid to late next week when I have some time to work on it. Im sure I will enjoy it after its in..not only for performance but also the looks.

Yeah..they are pretty small, but they held up a lot better than I though they would on the track. They definitely faded after a few hot laps but didnt give up as bad as I would have expected. Im sure if I had some stickier tires it would have been a different story.

I did a mock-up install to make sure the 5mm spacers would be big enough and they are perfect. The wheels spokes have about 2mm of clearance from the calipers which is the minimum reccomended gap. I have not finished the install yet. This was just a test fitting session. I will post on final install results later this week when I do the kit with SS lines front and rear and new brake fluid. I will take better pics out in the light after the kit is installed also.

Some new comparison Pics:

LOL...they fit fine...Im going to stick with the 17s since they are better for performance. Better henadling and accelreation than 18s. When I get news wheels eventually, I will be able to get lighter wheels in 17" than 18" by a couple pounds and 17" tires are cheaper.

Just a quick question.

Why are they only slotted and not drilled?

We only offer the rotors in slotted or drilled configurations. Slotted rotors are better for track use as they are less prone to cracking under extreme conditions. Drilled rotors do add bite, but most people like them more for the appearance than anything. I personally dont like drilled rotors. We dont offer slotted and drilled on the same rotor because we have found that too much rotor material is removed and heat capacity will suffer.

Im sure stopping distance will be reduced and overall braking performance will improve, but at this point my tires really are the weak link. I wont be able to realize the full benefit of my BBK until I upgrade tires.
