Springs will lower you vehicle, New struts are not a must but are advised. Stock struts can't take the beating and eventually wear out. Good choice to get both springs and struts. IMO

^^^ that's true but...

you'll wear out your struts sooner with lowering springs, but they'll still last many thousands of miles. don't think that you'll bust 'em inside of a month. I got the TRD springs with stock struts almost as soon as I got my car and I'm at almost 10K miles now, struts still going strong.

my suggestion...get both shocks and springs...so that you can keep your overpriced factory equiptment...however it will take a while for them to wear out...esp with trd springs...however just lowering your car wont effect performance that much...in a strait line yea i guess drag is less of a factor...but if you want to take a corner at very high speed you will want the heavy duty shocks as well...just for safety...if you drive crazy you better have the adequate equiptment.

ummm...actually lowering your car can make quite a big difference. my car cornered altoghether differently when I lowered it. much tighter and "grippier." bigger difference in cornering than in straight line acceleration.

trd's are progressive springs so for the most part they aren't much stiffer than stock. not the best for 'ultimate handling' but compromise for ride quality instead and don't help calm the twitchy rear end.
