It's really hard to install that sway with that limited space. Should've put the car on a lift. But anyway, you guys did a great job! :D

it was a year ago so i prolly don't have pics. i just followed the directions on yoursciontc.com. i mean later i had to retorque the bolts up to specs because its almost impossible to get that much with such little room. but as for the lift installs, ask ppl on the socal tc club board. i helped a few of them out. it really only take an hour and half at the most on a lift.

key word....ON A LIFT....try doing it on jack stands with not more than a foot of clearance on a cement floor during fall/winter.

Anyway Im not here to argue how long it'll take to do the job just stating my experiance.

yeah i know what you mean. i did my own car on the driveway and then i swore i would never do that again or even help because it's such a pain. it's one of those jobs that once you start you really can't go back because its just as bad trying to get the oem piece back in. but it pays off once its in.

Yeah, the front sway was a pita. Took me and a buddy 2 days. Your right, I almost drop the whole shebang on my face, which is when we decided to use the jack in the middle with the stands on the side. If I remember right, alot of the mm sizes were wrong on the nuts. OH, and at the end of the first day, I had to go to autozone to buy a breaker bar and some deep sockets. would have been nice to be prepared in advance.
I was gonna have a shop do it but the cheapest price I found was $250, and this was after I had the rear on, so I said "how much harder could it be, right?" WRONG!

haha damnnnn just put in my front sway bar. i feel like i just accomplished one of the biggest goals for my car right now. took me a total of about 8 hours straight, with just one meal break. did it in my garage lifted up in the middle, with wood blocks on the sides. just loosened both sides of the cradle and pryed one side down and forced the bar out and slid the rest out, did the same with the new sway and bolted it all back up. BUT its not as easy as that sounds lol, not even close. god damn some of those bolts are hard as hell to reah, no joke. but the difference is amazing, will never go back to stock. cant wait to get some h-techs and new shoes, hopefully new rims too. ive got pics if people wanna see. im so relieved i got it done.

wow reading this really open my eyes on how nice it is to have a lift you can use. the first one i did took 1 1/2 hours and then i did a buddys of mine it took about the same the wiring for the neons on his was the biggest pain but after i broke my first one the second one only took about 45 min. so i guess what im saying is a drive on lift makes things alot easier

I've been looking for a DIY on the front sway bar install and this is as close as I've come. I swear to God, if one more person hi jacks one of these threads asking "is the front sway bar install worth it?" I'm driving to that person's house to kill their entire family. OF COURSE ITS BLOODY WORTH IT. While I can't reasonably expect a DIY because I'm not paying for it, I can expect that no one will ask that stupid f*$%@!& question again!
If you're not going to contribute to the general knowledge base, just don't, please, just don't. I'm off now to install my new front Hotchkis swaybar with zero assistance, I'm flying blind. . .

Also, probably the reason you had such a tough time doing the install is because you did it in the dark! Try turning some lights on. . .
