suspension and braking project
i don't wanna go to big on this one but i need something in the way of suspension and braking before i do anymore performance mods. i was thinking Tokico struts ( i already have TRD springs) would their be any problem there. also how are they? Hotchkis sways front and rear. and for brakes i was thinking of just upgrading my pads and rotors, and possibly lines. do those sound like worth while investments or should i change my plan.
Hotchkis sways are absolutely awesome, so far everyone who has ridden in my car bought them after! I also have a TRD Drop and stock struts, still at that - it handles amazingly.
For brakes it sounds like your best bet would be a stoptech stage 2 kit like this one:

Slotted rotors, upgraded pads, and lines. comes with fluid too. Soon as i have the cash thats what ill be buying, they also come in drilled, or drilled and slotted.

i have tokico struts along with TRD lowering springs and i love the setup.. i can't tell u how much of a difference the tokicos made by themselves b/c everything was installed at once.. but i cant complain about a thing. the ride is only slightly harsher than stock but body roll is almost totally eliminated (i also have TRD rear sway and greddy front/rear strut bars)

Unless you plan on doing any auto x-ing, I don't think you'll need the front and rear sways and the SS brake lines.
(If you're leaning towards SS lines that is.) A rear sway bar is a definite must. I upgraded my rotors and pads
for a little over $320. Search the 'net and look around.
The front sway IS harder than the rear... my mechanic was able to get it in there under an hour. I would reccomend a lift to do the front although hotchkis says you can do it in your driveway.
SS lines are really not a huge benefit - more of a security feature. Having them you can trust your breaks not to fail on you.

SS brake lines are only functional if you plan to do some auto-xing. They are
not really worth it on DD IMHO.
