tc lowering springs help
I am looking to lower my tc but I have no clue what kind of lowering springs to go with. I am planning on not putting a body kit so I want to go really low but durable. Can anyone help me with some good brands. I am planning to go 2" and up..
blow torch. heat them springs and bounce like a lowrider.
btw, is there any springs that are just stiffer, but doesn't lower the car? I'd go for those. If I lower my car, I wouldn't be able to drive up my driveway. And no amount of approach will do. (My bro's 1in lowered Celica can't make it at all.

do you want to be able to adjust the ride height of the car or are you looking for a permanently low solution? If you want adjustability, look into a good set of coilovers. If you don't need that, the most popular choices are hotchkis or s-techs.
Hotchkis or TRD. If it's a daily driver, those are both minimal drops that won't require you to replace the struts when you install the new springs. I have the TRD Springs and love them. Aggressive and subtle. Perfect for my DD tC.
so I was planning on putting the tein s tech lowering springs on my car.. How does everyone feel about that.. Does anyone know how good these are.. Do i also have to put anything else with that or should that be it..Do i need any other modifications like struts..
I wouldnt' say the hotchkis is a minimal drop. They drop almost as low as tien s-techs.
If you don't want to effect the ride, trd or tien h-techs.
If you wanna slam it, hotchkis, tien s-techs or goldline (that is in order from nice drop to slammed)
I would suggest new shocks eventually with any of the slammed options. But if your gonna spend on shocks and springs, you may as well save another bill or so and go full coilovers. Even if you aren't going to adjust them all the time, you can dial in the exact height you want.
If I had not done hotchkis and konis (which I absolutely LOVE) id have gone with coilovers. Tien, K-sport or H&R.

s-techs are diff front and back cause it drops the front more then the back. If you look at your stock setup, the front looks higher then the back cause of the larger wheel well up front.
The hotchkis drop numbers are wrong. it also drops more in the front then the back, not like the numbers show.

TRD Springs = 1.25" all-around.
Hotchkis Springs = 1.7" F, 1.97" R.
Tein H-Tech Springs = 1.9" F, 1.5" R.
Tein S-Tech Springs = 2.4" F, 2.0" R.
Tell you what, my hothchkis are DEFINATELY lower then my buddies h.techs. Anyway, there are some rollong on stocks shocks for daily drinving, but it's not just your driving to take into account, it's the road conditions. If you have rough roads, yoru shocks will go sooner with a deeper drop.
